Buffalo Wings in Buffalo, NY

Anyone that knows Jesse and I knows that buffalo wings are kind of our thing. I never knew what buffalo style was until he introduced it to me. As soon as we realized that our route to Michigan was going to pass right through, we knew we were going to have to stop and try some real Buffalo buffalo wings.  According to Urbanspoon.com, tripadvisor.com, and various other blog-type sites and forums, it was pretty split between Anchor's Bar and Duff's for the best wings in Buffalo. Anchor's Bar claims to be the home of the Buffalo Wing, after the owner whipped up a spicy sauce to go with leftover chicken wings to appease after hours customers. Duff's full restaurant title is Duff's Famous Wings. While they don't have a cool story, the name kind of spoke for itself. Their "slogan" is: Medium is hot, medium-hot is very hot, and hot is very, very hot.  We didn't want to go somewhere touristy and we didn't want to have to wait a long time, so we went with Duff's. Located next to the University of Buffalo, we figured we couldn't go wrong. We didn't go wrong. Oh my YUM.

Twenty wings - ten medium-hot, ten hot BBQ, with a homemade blue cheese dipping sauce. Neither of us really care for blue cheese, but we didn't see ranch anywhere as an option on the menu. We both were dipping in the blue cheese like crazy. So good, so full.

Now we're walking it off around the University of Buffalo with Jack!
